Terms of Service

By using Astro Aata Hai (the "Service") operated by Kalatom Labs, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. What the Service is

Astro Aata Hai is a Vedic astrology (Jyotish) companion. It computes your kundali from birth details using Swiss Ephemeris + Lahiri ayanamsa, then generates interpretive readings using AI. It is intended for reflection, learning, and self-understanding.

2. What it is not

• Not medical, legal, financial, or professional advice. Never rely on Astro Aata Hai for decisions that require licensed expertise.
• Not a fortune-telling service. We interpret placements; we do not predict specific outcomes.
• Not a substitute for human judgement. The reading is a starting point, not a verdict.

3. AI-generated content disclaimer

Readings are generated by an AI model (Anthropic Claude). While every claim is tied to a specific placement in your chart, AI systems can make mistakes. Treat the output as interpretive commentary. If a claim doesn't match what you see in the chart or feels wrong, it probably is — flag it via the Beej Mantra feedback widget so we can improve.

4. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate birth details. Inaccurate data produces inaccurate charts; that's on you, not us.
• Use the Service for lawful purposes only.
• Do not attempt to abuse, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the daily quota.
• Do not use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any person.

5. Account & content

You retain ownership of the content you create (notes, questions). You grant us a limited licence to store and process that content to provide the Service.

We may terminate an account that abuses the Service, violates these terms, or is used unlawfully.

6. Pricing

The Service is currently free to use, up to the daily quota shown in the app. Paid tiers, if introduced, will be announced with plainly stated pricing. We will never charge you without explicit consent.

7. No remedies

We do not sell remedies — no gemstones, yantras, or paid pujas. Any "remedy" you see suggested in a reading is free: seva, patience, effort, reflection. Full stop.

8. Third parties

The Service uses Anthropic (chat generation), Google OAuth (sign-in, optional), Vercel (frontend hosting), and Railway (backend hosting). Their respective terms apply where their systems process your data. See our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Kalatom Labs' total liability arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months (which for free-tier users is zero).

10. Governing law & jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka.

11. Grievance & dispute resolution

For any grievance, please contact our Grievance Officer as described on the Grievance Officer page.

12. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms occasionally. Continued use of the Service after a revision constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
